I'm excited. Its Thanksgiving season. Already got my turkey pre-ordered. . . got some great tips to prevent the white meat from over-drying. Woooweeeee! I'm excited. I love me turkey!!
I love turkey too. I cook mine with lots of water in the roasting pan. I cover it with foil over the wings to keep them moist. I will sometimes keep a turkey baster handy and continue to baste it every so often to keep the insides and the outer parts from drying out. A flavor injector also works well. Another good idea is to put a burst of liquid under the skin to keep it moist. Slow cooking it is wonderful. The one thing I have figured out that works the best is dont stuff the inside until it is cooked. The best thing in the world to do besides is wash it thoroughly inside and out before cooking. Take out all the giblets and the neck and that helps the best. Hope it turns out great.
