Sang means give, Jit
means day. . . For Chinese, Sangjit used to be the day when the dowry
is received. These days, it becomes the day when the groom’s family
presents gifts to the bride and vice versa. My cousin, Joanne was
glowing at her Sangjit. The fun and awesome idea of having everyone
where Kebaya (traditional Peranakan clothing) created an ambience of
color, fun, and unity.

Here’s Joanne. . . dressing a Kebaya is not a solo effort.

The Best Buns EVER!!!!

My Aunty looking so lovely in pale green

Josie posing for the camera
The bride is giving me her demure look

Even Mochi, the terrier, is dressed to the nines!

The Bride’s family looking very sleak and sexy

Some aunties. . . aren’t the colors just wonderful?

I love the colors on Angie and Lorraine’s silver belt

Eva’s the cutest expecting mom. . . had to get a picture

Even the food was pretty. . . and check out that awesome dinnerware!

My nieces are soooo cute with their matching Kebaya
The bride and I. . . whoever took it didn’t turn on the flash
